This past month Heartland Dredging bid a couple of public dredging jobs, and we were the low bidders on both of them! The first one is a 10,000 cubic yard job in Bloomington, Illinois for the big dredge. It consists of cleaning out a combined sewer overflow lagoon, pumping the material into geotextile tubes, and then hauling the material to a landfill after it dries out. The second job is for one of the Dino dredges and is located in Hammond, Indiana. It involves pumping sediment from the Grand Calumet River directly into a sanitary manhole. In addition to these two jobs, there several other opportunities that Heartland Dredging is pursuing.
